In the past couple of days, the share market has gone down, the value of the Rand has gone down, the forecast is for another rise in interest rates that will cause more economic hardship for all South Africans, especially the poor that must somehow cope with rapidly rising food prices.

I wonder how much of this gloomy forecast is due to monetary or worldly events and how much is due to Jacob Zuma being the front runner for our next President ?

Are we destined to follow Mugabe and become another bankrupt African Banana Republic ?

Can the blacks not see that Jacob Zuma as President would be a disaster ?

How can the ANC  Womens League vote in favour of Zuma ? Obviously rape in black culture has a different meaning to international norms.

If the majority of blacks support Jacob Zuma as the next Anc party leader and, automatically, the next South African president, it also means that they support rape and corruption.

Is that their,(self-vaunted),culture ?

It has been a good week’end.

The Proteas beat the  New Zealand Black Caps in a 20-Twenty game of cricket.

The Springboks beat Wales in a rugby test match, confirming that they are the world champions, no matter how much the New Zealanders may whinge.

I lost money on the big South African horse race of today, the Summer Cup, but won some money on a good looking horse in race 4 at Lingfield, UK.  All square, good fun, well done.

My son and his brood of three daughters were here for the week-end. We played scary games like searching for imaginary lions in the bush in the dark with torches.

We didn’t find any lions but my son twisted his ankle trying to roar like a lion in a far dark corner.

We watched the final of “You think you can Dance?”

My favourite, Sabra, won. Yeah!! I told you that I know how to pick them.

I checked out my shares portfolio, some good, some bad.

I back-washed and cleaned the pool.

Really, I don’t know how I found time to do a 7 to 5 job before, I am simply too busy these days, 7 to 5 was easy.

In recent years there has been a noticeable change in support across all codes of sport.

Previously, it was mainly males who were the sports enthusiasts while the females were generally bored onlookers.

These days we have a growing number of females who get every bit as excited as their male partners.

I believe that there are two main reasons for the change.

1. We are getting a greatly increased amount of live sports

   coverage on radio and TV.

2. The girls get thrilled by sexy sportsmen.

For example, take cricket in the South African arena.

Previously it was regarded as a slow, boring game played by dull men in lily-white suits.

Then, along came 50-overs cricket played in colour under lights at night and livened up by a spirited Jonty Rhodes.

He was young, vibrant, good natured, an exciting cricketer and, of course, the girls thought he was sexy. The audiences soon swelled and other favourites soon followed, like Jacques Kallis, AB. de Villiers and Dale Steyn.

Similarly in rugby it all started with Joost van der Westhuizen. The girls loved him.

He too was soon followed by Percy Montgomery, Schalk Burger and Francois Steyn.

We also have other figures like Ryk Neethling, Roger Federer, David Beckham, et al.

Well done guys, you have a growing band of supporters who are enjoying sport.

In South African politics at the present time, we have a situation where the front runners for election as ANC President are Thabo Mbeki and Jacob Zuma.

If they have any real integrity they would both withdraw immediately.

Our constitution, regarded as one of the best in the world, says that the country’s President may only stand for 2 terms of office.

Mbeki’s time is coming close to an end but now he is making himself available for election as the ANC President at the next party congress in December.

If he succeeds in becoming the next ANC President and if, as we all expect, the ANC wins the next election, then Mbeki will still be the guy in charge (Never mind what puppet is made South Africa’s President.) That is a sneaky and despicable way of hanging onto power.

Please President Mbeki, for the sake of our country and for the sake of the example set by Nelson Mandela, do the honourable thing, and stand down.

Millions of blacks love Jacob Zuma. Why ? He is associated with rape, HIV/AIDS ignorance, poor money sense,  arms deals corruption. He may even go to jail soon.

Please Jacob Zuma, do not taint our country by standing for election. Do the honourable thing and stand down.

Who is left after that ? There are a few. My personal choice is Tokyo Sexwale. He is a successful business man with  good previous political experience. Much rather that than a symbolic female or a trade unionist or a socialist.

In recent days, both the Minister of Sport, Makhenkesi Stofile and President Thabo Mbeki have stated that “There shall be no racial quotas in sport” (Especially we are talking about rugby, soccer is already predominantly black.)(We are probably also talking about post-world cup euphoria.)

This is in stark contrast to the racist rantings of our rugby administrators and other groups who demand that there must be “transformation”, meaning that the Springbok rugby team must be black regardless of playing ability.

Well done Stofile and Mbeki, especially because, in part of the speech that the President made, he said that we must direct more money towards the development of sport in our schools and in the poor and previously disadvantaged areas.

YES MAN, that is what I have been saying for years now. You cannot simply put a black player into a top team just because he is black. You must from a young age give that same guy the opportunity and the facilities and the training to build him up. When he makes the grade then I, a white man, will cheer him all the way. Please don’t talk “quotas” to me, that makes the blacks the racists, not the whites.

When England won the rugby world cup 4-years ago, their coach was knighted.

When South Africa won the cup a few days ago, our coach was fired.

There is obviously something very sick somewhere and I believe it is with our rugby administration.

In one word , I can tell you what the problem is, it is “Racism”

In another one word, I can tell you who the racists  are, they are the blacks.

You have rabid racists like Stofile who have somehow acquired the power to dictate the composition of a Springbok team, even though he himself has never played a game of rugby in his lifetime and knows nothing about it.

You have numerous other organisations like the (black) Youth League who applaud the Springboks winning the world cup but, without even pausing for breath, say that the team is not representative and that there must be transformation.

What a bunch of racist idiots they are, must the victorious Boks now be dragged down to the embarrassing incompetence of Bafana Bafana ?

As regards the panel who will now select the next Springbok coach, we have :-

Stofile, a non-rugby player and rabid racist

Ferreira, Lions president but no rugby history

Smith, University Rector,( what the hell has that got to do with rugby ?)

Prinsloo, SARU executive, no rugby history that I know about.

Etc. Etc.

There are no former great rugby players, no former great rugby coaches, just a bunch of B************ers.

It will be uphill all the way for the next SA Rugby coach.

He will be compelled to count black/white numbers, regardless of their playing ability.

Damn these black racist politicians. I really wish that Mandela would remind his successors that racism in South Africa ended in 1994 and that all men should be equal after that.
