Ron’s Thoughts …

Having watched the Tri-Nations rugby test match between South Africa and Australia yesterday and the cricket test match between South Africa and England today, and having observed how their fans “Boo” whenever there is some advantage to South Africa, there is only one conclusion that I can come to.

 Aussie and English sports fans are “Boors.” 

At today’s G8 meeting in Hokkaido it is almost certain that sanctions will be imposed upon Mugabe and his henchmen.

I heard on this afternoon’s news that Mbeki has proposed a compromise whereby Mugabe becomes a Ceremonial President while Tsvangirai becomes the Prime Minister with the actual control of government.

That is the best proposal that I have heard to date to avert a total meltdown in Zimbabwe.

The legitimate winner of the elections, Tsvangirai, would take over political rule of the country while that megalomaniac despot, Mugabe, could save face and pretend to still be the President.
