Today, because our South African horseracing was washed out by rain, I looked at English horseracing at Kempton, Salisbury and Windsor.

My observation is that English jockeys are poor.

They jerk the horses around.

They have no idea about the value of a rail position.

They use the whip excessively.

They need to take a few lessons from South African greats like Michael Roberts, Kevin Shea, Dougie White, Felix Coetzee and many others.
