Ron’s Thoughts …

Watching the 50-overs international yesterday between the Proteas and England, I was entertained by both the game and the spectators, the typically South African fans.

The men with beer jug in hand, bare-chested, soaking up the sun, cheering, flexing muscles and fat tummies and generally having a good time.

The girls also soaking up the sun, (not bare-chested), preening and posing for the cameras.

Good stuff, I enjoy it !

The cherry on top was a convincing win for South Africa.

At this time, the CEO’s of SABC, Armscor, Eskom, Telkom, Transnet, SAA are either suspended on full pay or have been asked to resign while deputies do the job.

It seems to me that this is just another ploy by politicians and Parastatal bosses to screw more money out of the system.

Why pay only one comrade a fat salary when you can pay two, one suspended or on extended leave and the other pretending to know what he or she is doing ?
